Nine factories for the production of domestic products will be launched in the industrial zone of Almaty by the end of the year. The total amount of invested investments is more than 40 billion tenge. The new enterprises will establish the production of diagnostic tests, electrical products, heating equipment and more. Construction and installation work is being carried out at the sites. Akim of the city Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited the industrial park.
One of the residents of the Almaty industrial site is the Kaz-Dia-Test company. It is the first domestic manufacturer of test systems for detecting coronavirus, drugs, alcohol and various diseases in the human body. The enterprise will be located in a new two-storey building. The test launch of the plant will take place in August.
During a tour of the industrial zone, the akim also visited a plant that produces disposable medical products. The company has been on the market for over 10 years and produces syringes, masks, gloves and surgical kits. They are used by doctors of more than a thousand hospitals and clinics in the country. To increase production capacity, the plant was recently moved to a new building. This is an additional 50 jobs.
Bakytzhan Sagintayev got acquainted with a number of other objects. These enterprises are planning to launch the production of electrical products and building materials. Some of the residents have started interior finishing and landscaping works.
To date, 14 projects have been implemented in the industrial zone and more than 2,000 jobs have been created. The companies produced goods worth 75 billion tenge. In the next four years, 28 more enterprises will appear on the industrial site.
